The U.S. Federal Government is mandated to make purchases between $3,000 and $100,000 from small businesses. In fact at least 23% of the federal purchases are made from small businesses. The mandate is called the “Set-Asides for Small Business” or Federal Acquisition Regulation 19.502. The government is helping small businesses not only to survive, but to thrive.
